iguana bites-follow up

Thanks to all who responded. In answer to some of the questions you asked: I think Gus(Augusta) is female. She is 16 months old/2.5 feet and I have had her since she was salamander size. I give her a swim in the tub each morning. She seems very docile, and has attempted to bite me only twice. Tail whips are rare, too. And, yes, I have been very mixed up about whether or not to keep her. She is at the point where, by spring, I neen to get her a real enclosure. She is in a 70 gallon tank now. What stops me is that I treat her very well, and it would kill me if she ended up in a worse place. I have three dogs, can I get advice on coexistence? Thanks again, all.
