Spikes can take a long while to come back if they do come back at all.Is it possible she is shedding on them and that's why they are brittle?If that is the case,soaking is good and if she is shedding on them,ky jelly rubbed on them will also help losen them up to come off.Cirsis's spikes are kinda laid back and to the side,guess from soooo much petting her all her life.Gohan's spikes are all tall and straight.All igs are different,so as long as she is getting back to health,I wouldn't worry too much.Good luck with her and keep us informed.
