Ziggy's spikes are all standing up and are nice and pointie. Sweet Pea are laying down and to the side. But there is also a big difference in their personalities also. Ziggy uses his spikes to try to intimate. Sweet Pea is so nice and very laid back, even with the dogs.

Do they shed their spikes? She certainly has plenty of water and/or moisture around so she cannot be dehydrated at this point. And if KY jelly will work, I will try that too.

She is currently enjoying herself exploring my house. I have to scramble to baby proof (ig proof) the house because she goes into places the dogs never even thought of. But we love her a lot and are so glad that she is finally happy. Her big new cage (6' long x 5' high x 3' wide) is coming this week and she will have a new cage mate, a really laid back female in rescue). I can't wait.

Thanks for the advice.
