Be careful with the Active bulbs. While they are great units, they CAN be too powerful for something other than a larger enclosure or an entire room. What are you keeping your igs in currently ?
As far as keeping them in front of a window, if he's not very big, you can open the window - leaving the screen down of course - assuming that the screen is secure and you will be in close proximity to him while they're roaming. You'll also want to make sure that it's not too cool outside for them. Larger iguanas have been known to tear right through window screen so be careful.
The math makes sense in that there is 5% left over but why not try and maximize the benefits of natural sunlight ??
