On the ActiveUV site they specificly give warnings and instructions on how to use their bulbs and to allow a place for the ig to get away from the light.
Since ActiveUV, like the sun, provide both heat and UV light, and iguanas are self regulating as far as controlling their body temp. -it makes sense that there can be too much. Whether you are providing artificial or natural ALWAYS allow some place for your iguana to get away from direct heat/light sources.
