Gangrene is nothing to mess with. Forget letting nature take it's course.....I can't believe a Vet of all people would say "let nature take it's course" if that's true.....then why is he practicing? If I were you, (my opinion) I'd stick with your second Vet's opinion and start using him on a regular bases. Get the gangrene removed as soon as possible. Bottom line it's nothing to mess around with.
