: : Is this normal behavior? Will an Iguana actually make a person part of it's territory and feel more secure with that person?
: Yep it can be normal for some, but not all iguanas act this way. You might want to try putting Garoot into a large dog/cat carrier or a box. Seems to keep some iguanas calm.
: : Another question: He likes his limb, but won't eat from his bowl on the shelf. He'll snack but for a real meal he insists on being put back in his old tank with the grocerys. I'm trying to wean him away from this, but it's slow going. Would appreciate any suggestions.
: You're spoiling him! Why don't you try moving his tank close to his tree/shelf. Feed him in the tank. The next day, feed him on TOP of the tank, and so on and so on until you have him where you'd like him.
: : Gotta go, now. Seem to have mislaid by bourban.
: Try looking under the sofa.

Hi Sue2,
Forgot to mention: I tried putting him in my snake cooler - a special rig I made for transporting venomous snakes. Electric venalation and all. That's when the big freak-out started. Decided it would be easier to hold him while my daughter drove.
Shoulda thought'a moving the tank myself! Shee*t! Gettin' slow in my old age.
Many thanks, found the booze under the couch. Howdahell'd it get there?
Hey, thanks. Ya got me to thinkin'.
