Hi, Baby Herp,

It's been a tough summer for snake hunters all ove the south. Hot & dry keeps them pretty much under cover.

I'm involved in an unofficial study on the difference between the Eastern Cottenmouth and the Fla subspeices. If we can ever get a good 10 hour rain, I am going to hunt the Chowan River area, the extreme northern part of the range for a specimin to describe (and to take home and love-am currently snake-les. Deplorable state of affairs!).

The Garoot wants to go, but he doesn't realise what an all nighter in those swamps is like.
