I know what you mean, I have the same problem. The store I shop at has a tendancy to sell very BIG bunches, and half would go bad before it ever got used. I've taken to snipping off most of the stems/stalks as soon as I get it home, and not washing it right away. Also remove any rubber bands or twist ties. The loose greens then sit on a large plate in my fridge - taking up most of the room, of course! - and when I pull leaves for feeding that's when I wash them. That way they aren't sitting in a puddle on the plate.
That's the best way I've found so far; the lettuce keepers probably would work better, it's just that there's too many leaves per bundle to cram them in one!
Incidentally, isn't it fun to go buying iggy greens, then have to explain to the checkout person what each one is so they can ring it up? :) Not knocking checkout clerks, if it weren't for my ig I wouldn't know what half these things are either; but the clerks sometimes look at me like I'm slightly odd for actually spending money on something like danderlion greens...
Good luck!
