Bugs?(long)

OK....I bought my ig a few months ago as a hatchling. I have a homemade cage. Wood and wire. 3 foot long 4 foot tall and 2 feet deep. Its 2 levels. I started noticing it to spend less time basking and more time hanging from the top of the enclosure. I looked on the edge of the cage (wood) and there had to be hundreds of these very small brown, black, grey, and red bugs. So small you could hardly make out what they are. I don't know what they are? So I took the cage and washed it down.....bleached it. In the igs holding tank there were more of these bugs. I guess they are in him or on him. What hppen? why are these devils on him? help please! I have no vets near to ask for help and the pet stores don't know thing. Anything I can do?
