: Plain, old white vineger works. Wash the cage full strength, let it sit a while, then wash with water until the smell is mostly gone. If the cage is wood, do it a couple of times to get in all of the tiny irregularities. Wash the animal with a DILUTE solution, 1/4 vinegar, to be on the safe side, and with a very young animal cut it thinner, being careful around mouth and eyes. Your animal will NOT like this.

: Works for snakes. Also works on, ahem, body lice, which is where I got the idea. Doesn't seem to discourage ticks, though.

PS: once you have at last gotten rid of the little buggers, finish the cage. Seal all of the joins, any non-toxic sealer that paint will stick to will work. Seal the wood and paint it with a safe, non-toxic finish. This will make it easier to clean and a re-infestation will be easier to deal with. Be sure you cover ALL of the joins, inside and out, and cracks in the wood. Do this before you re-introduce the Iguana. Then any survivors of the Nuke Treatment will be sealed in like illegal gold in a Swiss bank.
