new iguana owner.....need a little help please!!!

hi. i bought a baby iguana yesterday. the people at the pet store gave me a can of some iguana food. they said that it is all it needs to eat. is this true or not??? if it's not, what else can it eat??? does anybody know how to determine it's sex??? how big does it have to be to do so???
