Pertains to New York City only....according to post at rec pets herp...already numerous protesters have converged on city hall in Manhattan. The ban placed by the Board of Health prohibits ownership of any "wild" animal...the list is long but amongst the "prey" are iguanas, ferrets, pythons,snapping turtles and some exotic 'dangerous' fish like pirranhas (which supposedly were already banned) Fines $200-1000 for first time offenders. Pete if you can get yesterdays copy of Daily News and let us know all that is on "the list"...I for one would be interested.LauraO here is from NYC...I think....maybe she can also help with more accurate info on it.
