A couple questions...

Hello! I am new to this site, but I have been reading all your messages the last couple days. It has been very informative as well as uplifting to see how all of you love your "babies"! Anyway, here is my question.....I have seen reference to alot of you feeding your ig's the basic salad recipie from Melissa Kaplan's site, but I have read that you shouldn't feed an ig any sort of "chow". Is this true? I tried the salad with my ig only to have her completely ignore it, so I went back to the daily chopping of fresh stuff, which btw I don't really mind doing, but the salad would be so much easier when we go away and have a friend care for her. So the second question is, how did you get them to eat it if they wouldn't at first? Any help is appreciated!
