Hi, Tracie!

I tried hard to get my iguana to eat that 'salad' on MK's site when I first got him. He was my first and I was DETERMINED to do it right.. Know what he did? Lifted his tail and pooped right on the plate everytime..

What I do now is this. I buy all his veggies on Sunday and prepare his food for the week. Greens in one container, veggies sliced and diced in the other. Each morning, I pull out a handful of the greens and microwave some of the veggies until they're slightly soft. I put those on top of the greens and mix them slightly. When they're cool, they're sprayed with a firehose (a small spray bottle that puts out a LOT of water) and offered.

Every week, I use 2 different fruits to 'compliment the gourmet meal'. This week, it's pear and banana. Just a few thin slice for flavor and color, of course.

My iguana will NOT eat anything shredded. I've held out for a week and all he does is lift his tail to express his displeasure. I finally gave in and went back to 2 hours of tearing and chopping (the industrial food processer is on it's way WOO!).

Hope that helps SOME.
