Hi Tracie...good to see ya made it!!
If your ig is not taking to the MK salad suggestions ...try Kevin Egan's diet.I don't feed my igs either...both are seriously flawed..but don't let me stop ya from finding out what your igs like to eat that are nutrient dense & just plain good for them. Lots of foods out there to give em...variety,moderation and better choices!
Here's a link to Kevin Egans Iguana Diet..I like Jen Swoffords site..but her diet is almost exact as Melissa's. To get them to eat...start with foods they DO like...lets say romaine lettuce and collard greens (staple part)with pieces of cheese in it(variety part)...well we all know cheese is a no-no and romaine lettuce is ok in a major pinch...but if thats all ig is used to eating...ya got to withdraw it slowly and NOT cold turkey...even eating bad foods is better than NOT eating at all...so gradually ease out the romaine and cheese...and substitute good stuff...like a little diced acorn squash and diced papaya. All the while still giving them a little cheese and romaine until the cheese & romaine is eliminated completely & ig is eating a good nutrient dense diet....This is meant as an example(romaine & cheese) only Trace!..lol
Gina
Good luck to ya hope these links help
