My 3 year old female iggy " Cheek" is the sweetest and tamest herp i own. But... every now and then i think about getting another baby iggy.
If I got another ig it would be a baby and I would like to place the baby ig with Cheek. I am building a new enclosure and would time the purchase of the new iggy with the completion of the new enclosure. Is it possible if I placed them in the enclosure at the same time the older iggy would not feel it is her territory but a new shared environment. I don't know so i asking you guys/ gals. Can the two different sized igs cohabitate. Has any one done this before.
At present Cheek 45" gets along with my juvenile dumeril. (I am always in the room with them)
Maybe i should just enjoy my one iggy but I have been thinking about this for some time. By the way the new enclosures measurements are 6' tall,7' long, 4' deep. Plenty of space I think. Plus i take my iggy out every day after work she hangs out with me in the den and later falls asleeps in my den at night under a special blanket and i return her to her cage in the morning before going to work to ensure she gets her proper dose of UV and heat.
Those who have two or more iggies is it really that much more work? I know males can be a handful when they come into season. Can two females get along? Sorry for the rambling but I want another iggy but under the right conditions.
Helpppp ....Martin
