I know our bigger igs won't tolerate the babies, we learned that lesson when Devo and Dexie launched themselves at Stu and Oswald when we brought them out side together. It could be that thier just males...(all of them) and I have NO experience with females. (grrr) I really wouldn't risk it.
Also, are you sure Cheek won't get Jealous of the time you need to spend with a new iggy? When we handle the igs in the same room, the ig that can see the other one starts to get horribly bobby. As for the work issue, it's not too bad if you pre chop all the food and already have pooping routines all set up. but think about this...We have 6, and I have to make a 4x batch of MK salad about every other to every two days. We go through about 5 or 6 bunches of greens a week. Granted, we have 4 adults, and 2 juvies, but....keep it in mind!
And a pre owned ig is definitely a good idea, but if you're really set on getting a baby, find a good breeder. Don't just buy from a pet store. A decent breeder will have just about as many questions for you as you do for him. Good Luck!
