Hi. We just got 2 HLs, we're not sure how old they are, but they look kind of young. They have been pretty happy with 1/4" crickets, but it seems like they will need the ants everyone has been talking about. Exactly how big are the Harvester Ants that you get from Life Studies? We just ordered 100, to try them out. Also, how do you know how old your HLs are? What's the size range for growth? How big of a tank do we need to keep 2 of them in? What kind of sand is best for them? Is a 25-watt bulb sufficient for heat (along with a reptile full spectrum UV light for daytime basking)? They are in front of the window that gets the morning sun, and they seem to like it. Also, how can you tell the boys from the girls??? Any other helpful tips/suggestions? Thanks very much. These little buggers are so cute:)
