I have seven 4 month old veiled chameleons...and have added calcium supplents to their diet daily since 5 weeks of age when I aquired them. Since that time, the lighting I have provided for them is a 55 watt power compact bulb 7.0 sunblast bulb from Big Apple Herp. And now at 4 months...a couple have spine deformities and a couple have difficulty walking.can someone help to explain this? Can metabolic bone disease develop at this young age? I contacted Big Apple Herp, and the representative told me that it is impossible that the lighting is the cause and that it is impossible for metabolic bone disease to develop in such a short period of time even if it was due to lack of proper light.......is this true??? PLease help me and my chameleons.......Thanks....Frankie in FL
