You should start seeing results with the MV bulb within hours of exposure. What size is the enclosure and what size/brand of bulb did you get? using a ceramic fixture with it as well?

If you haven't yet, I'd hit the Cham board and see if you can get more specific information there as I am operating strictly on general knowledge here and wouldn't want to steer you in the wrong direction especialy as chams can be rather fragile...
