you can buy plexyglass for like a buck, cover up almost all of the top of the cage.. just leave a section open for some air passage. Screen tops are nasty in trying to keep humidy. Try putting some moss in a container, and even placing a small water dish under your heat source. all 12 of my tanks are solid tops... Even if I never mist, my humidity stays in the 60-70% range
:I have 5 boas, 1 albino burm and 2 snow corns... I'm currently haveing problems with the humidity level of the tanks. I keep them in aquarium style tanks with the tuff top style lids (screen/mesh) when the humidity levels outside drop... the tanks drop to 10% humidity... YIKES! I've got a humidifier running constantly, heat lamps directly on the water dishes... and still am having problems maintaining the humidity.... anyone have some tips?
