As you are about to find out, the investment in these animals only starts with the intial purchase price.
The smoothfront is a different animal, with different needs than the alligator. You need to provide suitable housing for it and I'm afraid that requires more than a cracked 20 gal aquarium and a water bowl.

:i have a smooth front caimen and i had him with my alligator and he is not getten along with the gator, do u think i can put the caimen in a 20 long tank but the tank has a crack in it so if i have alot of land and a water bowl for the water or this would not be suitable.. thanks hes only a small 8 inch guy
