Yep, ringnecks like worms and slugs and snails and grubs. They are a small snake and probably won't grow more than another couple of inches. They can be hard to maintain in captivity. I've kept them for a season or two and then let them go again to breed and reproduce. Soil is a good substrate for them. You might want to put in a flat piece of wood or bark for it to hide under and keep water available.
