DIY Snake Hook?

Any one here ever made one? I was looking into maybe a mod on a golf club. I would also like to make a "flippin pole" to flip rocks and wood over with. The biggest dillema there would be the strength of the unit it self i guess. I would like plans on either. Thanks alot.
