For a DIY field hook, most folks go with a hoe and knock off the blade or a potato rake. Excellent strength but is a little heavier than the furmonts and midwests that are out there.
The peterson field guide shows 5 or 6 different ways to make field hooks. Check it out.
The Mouse Is Still In The House

:Any one here ever made one? I was looking into maybe a mod on a golf club. I would also like to make a "flippin pole" to flip rocks and wood over with. The biggest dillema there would be the strength of the unit it self i guess. I would like plans on either. Thanks alot.
