:I got 100 pounds for $24 here in Arizona. But ever since I went from dog food/sunflower seeds/cattle feed mixture (less than $30 for 150 pounds) to the rodent lab blocks my mice have been cannabalizing their babies.

Try adding something like cat food to their diet...especially when they are breeding heavily. The higher protein helps along with sunflower seeds for more fats. I do this way more with mice than rats but it seems to work well. I also give them chicken bones and cooked meat bits if they are working really hard.
