My snake hunts have resulted in popped waterbeds, all night flashlight searches, etc... and usually i'll just wake up some nite with a blinding flash of the obvious and walk right to where the snake is. Those major hunts only work if you catch it real quick... i think if they've had a whole nite to prowl they find a really good hiding spot. gotta love em.
