My cat found my snake

When I first got my bp, I didn't have a very good top to his cage. He was about 3' long at the time. He got loose the first time and I could not find him anywhere. I looked in all the usual places, under fridge, hot water heater, dryer, etc. Well I was in the bathroom and my cat was acting funny looking under the sink and being very, very jumpy. Well I opened the cabinet under the sink and looked around and saw nothing. I left the door open to see what she would do. Well I had to do my "business" on the pot and as soon as I got comfortable on the pot that is when my snake stuck his head out from under the sink. He was up in the pipes. He scared the "crap" out of me. It was really funny.
The second time he got loose my cat was acting funny around the hot water heater and lo and behold, that is where he was. This was in 1995 and I've learned to fasten down his lid correctly EVERY time because he always checks it after I've had it open.
