snakes in NC?

Hey, is there anyone out there who knows of some good sites in North Carolina for finding copperheads and rattlesnakes? I live in the Triangle, and from time to time I drive out looking for various critters, but for these snakes in particular. To date, I have only come upon an intergrade copperhead, and that was in a parking lot of all places, and I wasn't even the one who initially found it.

I've been down to the sandhills a few times. Does anyone know some good locations around that area? How about the Uwarrie Mountains?
