So, I've got some chuckwallas with mites of the small red variety on them. Any suggestions? Unfortunately they're in a large display cage where changing the substrate isn't really feasible... so far I've found that vegetable oil can be used to kill the mites on the chuckwallas, but that the mites will just come back from wherever they're laying their eggs, and that one of the yellow pest strips just didn't seem to have any effect on these things one way or the other. Anyone try using the `Reptile Relief' that's been advertised on kingsnake.com (see http://www.naturalchemistry.com/pet/StorePlus/Store/viewConsumerItems.asp?idProduct=65) for the last few months on chuckwallas?
