I saw some of the Kimberly Queen plants.. Aren't they neat! I hope someone tells you they are ok, I would LOVE to get one!
About the pine... I am pretty sure it is safe, but you will want to seal it for sure. All of the misting will damage it in no time. You can seal it with a water based sealer or polyurithane. Just let it sit for a week (or two even) to let it dry completely and have the fumes evaporate.
If your cham would be prone to chewing on the wood (not that he would, but who knows there are some crazy people in the world, why not crazy chams too?) than you will probably want to staple the screen to the inside to keep him from doing so. That, and if you freeroam than you won't have to worry about crix munching on it (crix will eat anything it seems..)
