Hi everyone,
Well, now that Frasier's enclosure is adequate and he is seemingly very happy in there, he seems to have developed quite the attitude towards us. Whenever we try to go into his cage while he is basking, he lunges at us while gaping his mouth and hissing.
We figure this is a dominance behavior and that this is normal for a veiled chameleon. Is that accurate? If so, is there anything we can do for that, or do we just have to deal with it? With some animals, it's not a good idea to let them believe they are the alpha of the household, we're just wondering if this applies to chameleons.
Thanks for any input!
