This sounds like a normal veiled who is getting comfortable with his new space. He's asserting himself as the local king. He may mellow a bit with age, but may always be a bit pissy. Stay friends with him by offering special treats by hand. He'll learn that you are not threatening his dominance and are a source of tasty snacks.
