I thought of another idea for safer showering. Get a birdcage (borrow one or find an old one at a garage sale or thrift shop), put some perches/branches and even fake foliage in it, and then place it so the shower is hitting part but not all of it. The cham can't fall and has some vegetation for security, and it shouldn't hurt a cage to get soaked.
