:I was wondering if anyone has experience with taking a single piece of Acrylic and cutting a door in the middle. Then use the cutout as the door itself. Is this even possible? The local glass shops said no way but I continue to see cage sites that do it. Is there a magic tool or bit to get this done? Any help would be great ... Here is an example of the BARRS site 2nd pic down on the right.

yes it can be done. i do it all the time. i do it with a rotozip and a straight edge clamped to the work. it does leave about 1/8 inch gap but it works well. i just put a stop on the inside so the door dosn't swing in
you can see the gap in this pic
hope this helps later bill
