I have no experience with T-Rex, but here is what you do with the zoomed!

1)Remove ZooMed
2)Grab a Pair Of Scissors
3)UNPLUG ZooMed (please don't forget this step)
4)Cut cord, then start chopping the pad up
5)Throw in Trash

I can send you pics if you would like of what a zoomed pad will do to your snake. No, it is not pretty. This is first hand experience, and others have had the same results. The cages will literally heat up to the point that if you put your hand on it, your hand will get burned if not removed.

Cobra heat mats are pretty good IMO, but costly. I highly recommend QUALITY flexwatt heat tape with a thermostat. There are some cheap thermostats that I have heard work well. All of my BREEDERS are hooked up to big apple thermostats. The few cages without a thermostat have a rheostat. I use a digital thermometer DAILY to check temps.

If you have any questions, let me know!!!
