An African House snake could live in a 10 for most of it's life. Females will get larger than males (males max out around 3 feet females 3.5 feet). African's are really easy to care for and no problems getting them to feed, unlike some Hognose snakes. You might also want to consider a Rosy Boa. They stay around 3 foot as well.
