I had a male Het. Axanthic that was going to be sitting around collecting dust this season. My friend had females that were just going to be bred to normals. Sounds like a match made in Heaven, eh? I think a 50/50 split is the way to go. My male is worth more, but a group of nice females that are all breedable are worth quite a good bit too. Then there's the added work he has of taking care of them, breeding and keeping up with the breedings, feeding, etc. Heck, I think the loaner comes-out better than the loanee. It also helps that we're very good friends and trust eachother 100%. I know if he tells me that nothing came of any of the breeding, then nothing came of any of the breedings. So, being friends with someone that you are doing a breeding loan with will also help to put you at ease. Look for people in your area. Ask on here if there's anyone around you. You might end-up with someone in your town that you could work on the project together with and never have to worry about whether or not you are getting everything that should be coming to you. My friend and I are not that lucky. He lives in Texas, I live in Tennessee, but we talk on AOL just about everyday, or call eachother and just BS about snakes and other things. We hang-out in Daytona and can usually be found at the yummy yummy sammich shop at the Adam's Mark devouring a Roast Beef AuJus, or a King Ludwig's Kastell. We have fun and we produce some animals. My friendship with him means more to me now than the animals we are trying to produce.

:Okay, I've been thinking a lot about this, and decided I should ask, as I'm sure many of you know... I've currently got 4 het males (1 albino, 3 vpi axanthic) and a wc female who will breed next season, and another female on the way. I financially cannot have female hets, Like I originally wanted. So I was wondering what a breeding loan entails? Payment? Contract?
:Any help would be appreciated!
:Thanks!
