I have a few questions about proper heating a ball python. For a hathling BP in a 10 gallon aquarium could I use an UTH by itself without heat lights? Im sorta confused because I have been to TONS AND TONS Of sites and they never give the same temps. I know there has to be a temperature gradient so if I could use an UTH what should the temp be at the spot right above it. Taking note that being the only heat source. I was planning on using a thermostat. Also, would a ceramic heat emitter work. I fear that that would heat the whole enclosure and not give a propper gradient being with only a 10 gallon. So im asking what should the temps be on cool side and warm side. If one side is at 90 degrees I would want the other side considerably cooler right?
