I use repti-glo 2.0 (daylight, 6700K) lights. Then for my quick 10gal I bought a lowes plant light. Let me tell you my 10gal is not as bright as my other 2 with the reptiglow. I will getting a reptiglo for it at some point. They are not cheap though. Also I have read that compacts give off a lot of heat so you may need to raised them above the tank so it does not get too hot.

:ok, more lighting questions. i dont want to spend a fortune on lighting.
:ill have tincs, and lots of plants so i want a grow bulb or a uvb bulb. i found this lihgt at lowes (click link below). can i use it? or can someone point me to a good light thats not very expensive? And what wattage should i use 30?
