What's up with the inflated prices?

I've noticed that some people are asking outrageous sums for non-locality, run-of-the-mill alterna. What gives? Last year I had a clutch that I almost gave away, the bottom had almost totally dropped out of them. Are these people on the Classifieds just noobs or what? I can't figure how 1.3 non-locality alterna are worth $750, or even how 2.3 are worth $950, any ideas?
Hey you guys down in the trans-pecos...happy hunting, I'm too busy to get down there this year, I'll be catching Gophers up here in Idaho all summer I guess :(
