:I think JDM either didn't read my post or misinterpreted me. I DO think alterna should be a mid-range animal, not prohibitively priced, but not like a corn, because they are harder to get going as hatchlings, and they ARE SUPER COOL. Just their very limited natural range is amazing in itself. I think $50-$75 is a fair price range for pink-feeding hatchlings, and perhaps $100-$125 for adults, with exceptional animals going above that, but man....There's a guy selling off some alternas, currently, that I sold him last year and he's asking 5 times the price he paid!! I saw the pics he posted and they are maintained in HORRIBLE conditions apparently (which is much worse than the inflated price) Whatever, they'll not sell anytime soon I suppose. Thanks all, peace.

:I was noticing the same thing. I was buying babies last year for $20.00 each, adults for $75.00 to $100.00 for really nice ones. I see babies advertised on here now for $65.00 and up. There's no way I'm paying anywhere near $750.00 for a trio...but I do hope the prices hold out until I can hatch a clutch or three...;>)

::I've noticed that some people are asking outrageous sums for non-locality, run-of-the-mill alterna. What gives? Last year I had a clutch that I almost gave away, the bottom had almost totally dropped out of them. Are these people on the Classifieds just noobs or what? I can't figure how 1.3 non-locality alterna are worth $750, or even how 2.3 are worth $950, any ideas?
::Hey you guys down in the trans-pecos...happy hunting, I'm too busy to get down there this year, I'll be catching Gophers up here in Idaho all summer I guess :(
