So are they good pets (do they mind being handled)? Most of the alligator lizards I found around the bay area bit a lot and did not like being bothered at all. How long are they? I saw a huge alligator lizard the other day, but I couldn't grab it before it ran away. One of these days I want to keep an alligator lizard for good. I had a baby one a few days ago but I decided to let it go because it was really small.
