Thanks for the comment!
actually, with that pond in the corner of the cage, I don't have to clean up after my lizards much. They tend to go in the pond in the corner, so I just have to change the water a lot. But every time I do a full clean on the cage it takes me 3-4 hours.
I caught the big yellow alligator lizard in central California.(monterey Bay) I am pretty sure she is a Southern alligator lizard. I'm not sure her excact spiecies. I bought the other alligator lizard in a store. It is a Madrean Alligator lizard (Elgaria kingii) from Arizona.
The Southern Alligator lizard is a full grown adult. It apears that she lost her tail some time before I caught her. Her body is pretty fat and her tail really thick. She is the healthiest looking Alligator lizard I have seen. I have had her for about 2 and a half years now. The Madrean alligator lizard is still pretty thin. He appears to have never lost his tail. His tail is 2 times the length of his body. I have had him for maybe a little less than a year.
Im glad you liked the pictures! I didn't expect them to turn out so well. I was pretty suprised at how well the digital camera took those pictures.
