I don't expect anyone to be able to identify this to subspecies -- though I expect it is a old (with the accent on the "old") RES. Trachemys scripta elegans.

Just thought I would throw up the picture as a great example of age related melanism. This nasty huge male was purchased as a hatchling in 1963
