:The diet includes slugs, earthworms & soft-bodied insects. If you have access to baby crickets, that may get them started. Small earthworms may do the trick as well. What you may do there is ask at the nearest bait & tackle store about who supplies them with earthworms for bait. If it's a local source, you may want to go directly to the supplier to see if you can get some very small earthworms from him.
