My cobra question: Someone posted on another bb that they can be "depoisoned". Is this true? Or did he possibly mean "defanged"?

And, my favor is this: You all seem to be very knowledgeable, but it would be a great help to the rest of if you would also use the common name when you're talking about various species. Thanks
