Now I don't mean to argue with you, but I somewhat question the "need" for venom in digestion. For efficency purposes, I feed some of my rattlesnakes pre-killed mice. They NEVER bite or inject these with venom, yet I see no digestion problems. My neonates don't even strike at live pinkies/fuzzies until they (mice) reach a certain size. Granted, the venom in rattlesnakes DOES aid in digestion, but I wonder if it is as critical in snakes with more neurotoxic venom, as the effect would be more more to disable than digest. Just a thought.
P.S. I TOTALLY disagree with removing venom glands. If you can't take the heat...
