This is what it all boils down to. Although I agree anyone one of us could be bitten, there is actually no reason why this should occur. There is no excuse for being bitten by one's pet venomous snake. If you cannot perform such routine procedures as feeding in a way that keeps you completely out of harm's way, then you shouldn't be owning one. Why doesn't the state just make it illegal to keep venomous snakes without a permit? Maybe this guy would have not been able to have gotten a permit in the first place and this whole incident could have been avoided. I am assuming that this would be an Eastern Diamondback?
